Juggling Mandarins
In english we read a book called Juggling with Mandarins by V.M Jones.
Just from reading the title you’d think it would be a really lame book. It’s not all that bad though; The book is about a boy called Pip who doesn’t like his father attending his soccer games. By complete accident Pip discovers a new hobby…
My favourite character was Beattie because she’s a great friend to Pip. I liked the part of the book where Pip gets his dad to come and watch him in a contest.
I enjoyed the book because it deals with real life problems. I recomend it for any teenager who can read (it helps if you can read!).
If you can’t read, you can listen to it on audio tape.
Could you talk more about the real life problems with which the book deals? I like your taster of the book. Synopses are so hard to do.
Okay - now you’ve got me intrigued!!! Why doesn’t Pip like his father watching him play soccer? Do you like being watched by your family when you play sport or do other things?
But what I really want to know is what is Pip’s new hobby??? Don’t tell me I have to read the book just to find out!!!
